The laser scanner survey technique has substantial advantages over traditional survey techniques:

  • High scanning speed (up to 1 million points/second);
  • Very high detail, ideal for the enhancement of architectural elements, conservative restoration and analysis of cracks in the paintings (with 2×2 mm grids);
  • High instrumental range reaching even distances of 4km (ideal for the modeling of slopes subject to phenomena of instability or hydrogeological analysis).

The direct consultation of the survey in a 3D environment, carried out on a special navigable and measurable application, permits the customer to perform fewer inspections. Moreover, the use of such applications allows consultation of data from any device, making it possible to have the data available both in the office and on site.

3D laser scanning is the latest technological frontier in the field of detection, allowing rapid field and non-contact activities. Monitoring with this technology lets you to detect environments and any type of building, quickly collecting millions of measurements.
The Laser Scanner irradiates objects in its field of view with a laser light describing their shape, physical and colorimetric characteristics by creating clouds of dense points, each of which are composed of millions of points: a triplet of reflectance and RGB triad x, y, z coordinates. The data thus collected and processed can be used to build 2D and 3D digital models, which can be used by CAD/BIM and GIS systems in order to respond to a wide variety of applications:
