OBJECTIVES
To equip Snam Rete Gas with an integrated management system for its gas pipeline network.
DEVELOPMENT
Snam is the leading European player in the construction and integrated management of natural gas infrastructure.
The “SIGAS Continuo” project was a response to the need to monitor network status with a single tool.
Once the network map and nodal data had been collected, GeneGIS GI configured the best monitoring and management software to meet the client’s needs.
CHARACTERISTICS
“SIGAS Continuo” represents the gas pipeline network in a continuous and georeferenced system developed with Bentley technology. It enables Snam to monitor the development and status of the network in Italy, and improves the transparency and efficiency of maintenance and operating activities.
The system is based on 50 cm resolution orthophotos, for a scale equivalent to 1/2,000.
