OBJECTIVES
The PerFORM WATER 2030 project (Platform for Integrated Operation Research and Management of Public Water towards 2030) has been set up to develop a widely used platform for research, development and implementation of technologies and decision-making tools for on-going improvement of management of the integrated water service.
DEVELOPMENT
GeneGIS GI is a member of a partnership created to obtain funding from the Lombardy Regional Authority in connection with the Regional Operating Program under the 2014-2020 European Regional Development Fund and the “Agreements for Research and Innovation” Innovation Call. The CAP Group, the integrated water service provider for the Metropolitan City of Milan, is the leader of the project, which involves 8 industrial companies, 2 universities and one research institute.
CHARACTERISTICS
GeneGIS GI will be involved in developing an integrated web platform with GIS technologies to optimise visualisation of analysis and monitoring processes and data from the various test areas. The platform will also implement some of the Lombardy Region’s Open Innovation 2.0 technologies, for interaction among the project partners.
COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES
The web platform has been conceived as a decision support tool, but it will be enhanced with additional content and functions to enable it to disseminate results and knowledge.
