The sustainable mobility project MoSoRe@Unibs is scheduled to be completed in September 2022
The last plenary meeting of the MoSoRe@Unibs project, a hub dedicated to sustainable mobility coordinated by the University of Brescia and supported by the Lombardy Region, was held on 20 May 2022.
In view of the final stages of the project, the partners took stock of the planned experimental activities that involve the use of integrated ICT platforms to have safer road infrastructures pollution as well as a better management of the personal mobility in a perspective of the well-being of the individual.
GeneGIS GI is engaged with a leading role in some activities which stand out among the many lines of experimentation envisaged:
- to ensure the safety of important transport infrastructures, such as bridges and viaducts, monitoring sensors have been tested that will indicate when to intervene for the redevelopment of the structures using innovative materials, the results of which have been validated through a dashboard developed by GeneGIS GI and through field survey campaigns with laser scanner devices carried out by GeneGIS GI technicians;
- to support effective electric mobility, user support information systems, such as the mobile apps developed by GeneGIS GI, have been tested to promote a more sustainable mobility, encouraging the use of bicycles, for example, increasing tourism and providing specific services to the fragile user, such as the mobile apps developed by GeneGIS GI;
- to make available a platform capable of simulating states of emergency relating to unexpected meteorological events characterized by impacts on road mobility.
