GeneGIS GI with the TELECER Project at the University of Brescia
GeneGIS GI will bring the TELECER research project to the University of Brescia in a seminar open to the public organized as part of the teaching of “ICT in agro-zootechnics” of the Study Course in Sustainable Agricultural Systems, guest of Prof. Stefano Rinaldi.
The seminar will be held on Monday 28 November 2022 from 11:00 to 13:00 in the Council Chamber of the University of Brescia – Faculty of Engineering, via Branze 38, Brescia and will be dedicated to the speech entitled TELECER – ”Application of remote sensing for the productive and qualitative improvement of cereals for advanced supply chains” held by Gianmarco Corvino, Remote Sensing and GIS Analyst, project manager for GeneGIS GI of the TELECER research project.
The TELECER project was envisaged with the aim of making remote sensing an accessible and effective tool, applying it to the cereal production of corn, soft wheat and soybeans for a productive and qualitative improvement of advanced supply chains. As part of the project, GeneGIS GI is responsible for the development and commissioning of the entire hardware and software structure, processing the satellite images provided by the Sentinel 2 mission of the European Space Agency for use in relation to and in support of the data harvested directly in the field, within a decision support system for the optimization of cereal growing practices.
